The class 7 boy from Tiruchengode who was hit accidentally by his teacher on the head with a cricket bat died on Wednesday. A Kuppusami, an economics teacher in the same government school reportedly went to the school to take his bike. When he saw students playing cricket in school ground, he joined them. While raising his bat to hit the ball, the teacher accidentally hit the boy on his head. The boy was in coma and passed away after medications failed. The boy’s parents have reportedly refused to receive the corpse and his relatives have staged a protest.
