According to reports, the family of Anitha, who committed suicide after failing to secure a medical programme seat, has refused to receive the compensation of Rs 7 lakh announced by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami. CM Palaniswami had also announced that one of the family members of Anitha will be given government job. Earlier, DMK working president M K Stalin announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh to the family.
