Tamil Nadu Assembly secretary K Boopathy has reportedly written to Election Commission stating that 18 Assembly constituencies in the State are lying vacant. This comes after 18 MLAs supporting TTV Dhinakaran were disqualified by the Assembly speaker Dhanapal on Monday. Action has also been taken to remove the names of the disqualified MLAs from the government website, say reports.
