An 80-year-old woman identified as Sivabakiyam was found dead at her residence in Guduvancherry on Tuesday. Reportedly, the woman was living alone with her son Shankar who was under the influence of alcohol. Shankar used to fight with his mom very often after he came home drunk. According to media reports, the police suspected that this could be a murder as blood was oozing out from her ear. The police are in look out for Shankar. The investigation officer is waiting for the postmortem report to find out the exact reason for her death.
