Reports say more than 7.5 lakh aspirants from the state wrote the group II A civil services exam for entry into the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC ). Only 5% of those registered could not reportedly qualify for the exam. Reportedly, the number of vacancies for 2017 remained at 1,953, and the number of centres where the combined examination was conducted stood at as many as 2,536.
