Reportedly children, including 12 girls, were found living in a home without any proper documents. The District Child Protection committee of Kanchipuram produced all the children aged between 6 to 12 before the child welfare committee. According to media reports, the CWC member said that a medical examination was taken by the girls as they suspected abuse. Later the girls were sent to a licensed home in Kanchipuram, and the boys were sent to a government home in Chengalpet.
