The Tamil Nadu Vanigar Sangangalin Peramaippu (TNVSP), the state’s largest trade body comprising 6,000 business enterprises and 1.5 million members, has reportedly announced a shutdown of shops on August 8 in protest against GST. AM Vikrama Raja, president of the traders’ body, reportedly accused the Centre of not consulting the small traders.
