Techies in Tamil Nadu are reportedly planning to form the country's first union in the tech space. According to reports, more than 100 software professionals have signed as members. The union is said to lobby for women's safety and protect members' rights by holding IT firms to labor laws. Tamil Nadu has an estimated 4.5 lakh employees in the IT space, and the top professionals have also planned to join with Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh as the states export the most IT services.
