Following the commotion at IIT Madras, students from the University of Madras reportedly organised a ‘beef fest’ inside the campus on Wednesday. According to reports, the protest was organised against the Centre’s recent decision to ban the trade of cattle for slaughter in animal markets. Notably, several political parties also organised a protest against the cattle ban on Wednesday.
