Bryant, was travelling in a private helicopter that crashed amid foggy conditions. The private helicopter burst into flames in the hills above Calabasas.
Minutes after the crash, rescue personals arrived but later, the LA county sheriff said there were no survivors. Moments of silence and prayer have been observed at basketball games across the US.
According to BBC reports, Bryant, was a five-time NBA champion, who played for the LA Lakers. He is also considered to be one of the greatest players in the history. Ever since the news went viral, tributes from celebrities and fellow sports stars have been pouring in. Family and fans are still in shock over the matter.
Not just that, Bryant has also been remembered and missed at the Grammy Awards which are being held at the Los Angeles Lakers' stadium.
Meanwhile, the NBA issued a statement over the legend's death saying it was "devastated by the tragic passing of Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gianna" aged 13.
