ICC suspends Ravindra Jadeja for third Test against Sri Lanka

Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was suspended by ICC for the final Test against Sri Lanka in Pallekele after the Indian was found guilty of breaching article 2.2.8 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Player and Player Support Personnel. Jadeja accumulated six demerit points within a 24-month period following his latest violation of the ICC's Code, receiving a 50 per cent fine and three demerit points on Sunday.  Notably, article 2.2.8 of ICC's code states that throwing a ball or any other item of cricket equipment at or near a player, support personnel, umpire, match referee or any other third person, inappropriately or dangerously during an international match is against the rules.
