Asian Games Gold-winning Indian athlete banned for 8 years for doping

Priyanka Panwar, who won gold at 2014 Asian Games in 4x400m women’s relay, was on Monday banned for eight years after she tested positive for consuming mephentermine. Mephentermine is a banned stimulant by National Anti Doping Agency disciplinary panel. Panwar faced disciplinary panel after she tested positive for a banned stimulant during a national inter-state athletics competition in 2016.
