Following the win over India in the Champions Trophy Group B fixture on Thursday, Sri Lanka, for the ninth time scored more than 300 in a successful away run chase, the most by any country, going past India’s mark of 8. Further, Sri Lanka also recorded the highest successful chase in Champions Trophy history after chasing down Indian’s score of 321/6. Notably, this is the first time India failed to defend a 300-plus team total in an ICC tournament match.
