Shriram’s Chennai IT SEZ sold for Rs 2300 crores

Global fund house, Xander has reportedly acquired Shriram's IT SEZ in Perungalathur, Chennai. According to reports, the deal has been finalised for $350 million (Rs. 2,300 crores). The 60-acre project has 4.5 million sq. ft of IT office space, of which 1.8 million sq.ft has been already developed. Notably, the SEZ has close to Rs.500 crore of debt on its books.
