According to reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate a domestic and international airport constructed fourteen kilometres from Shirdi by the end of July. At present, the closest airport to the temple town is 238 km away in Mumbai. Notably, the airport is cordially funded by Saibaba Sansthan Trust and the state government.
