Sea ice, equating the size of India, or two Alaskas, in both Arctic and Antarctic has vanished, say reports. According to US National Snow and Ice Data Center, polar sea ice extent was estimated to be around 3.84 million sq km on December 4 below the average amount between 1981 and 2010. The disappearance of sea ice by rising temperatures has been alarming as it threatens the lives of Arctic wildlife.
