Russia's made in India chopper to cost 2.5 times normal price

According to reports, the manufacturing cost of Russian Kamov light utility choppers, which will be built in India, and is expected to cost two and a half times more than the cost of those produced in Russia. Reportedly, the agreement with Russia will see India will import 60 choppers, while 140 will be manufactured in a joint venture between the governments. Notably, the helicopters will replace the vintage fleet of Cheetah and Chetak choppers.
