Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh on Monday reportedly announced that his government will waive crop loans for small and marginal farmers in the state. According to reports, the loan waiver will be up to Rs 2 lakh for farmers having lands up to 5 acres. Notably, the state government also announced flat Rs 2 lakh relief for all other marginal farmers. This move is expected to benefit a total of 10.25 lakh farmers in Punjab.
