President Pranab Mukherjee on Friday rejected mercy petitions in two cases. According to reports, Mukherjee rejected the mercy pleas of 2012 Indore rape case and the Pune gang rape case. This action from President comes a month before demitting his office. Notably, Mukherjee rejected 30 mercy pleas in his tenure.
