Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu has reportedly proposed a coastal railway line between Chennai and Kanyakumari. According to reports, the minister had also added that the State must cooperate with the ministry to implement the project. Notably, Prabhu also launched a seven km railway route connecting Ennore and Tiruvottiyur, a 10 KW solar plant at Moore Market in Chennai and a food plaza at Trichy.
