PM Modi, Putin ink pacts to construct last two units of Kudankulam nuclear plant

India and Russia on Thursday signed a new pact which will see the setting up of the last two units of the Kudankulam nuclear power plant, during PM Narendra Modi’s meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow. Reportedly, Russia will help in the construction of the Tamil Nadu-based nuclear power plant, in which each of the two units will have a capacity to produce 1,000 MW of power.
