Court awards death penalty over Facebook post

A Pakistani counter-terrorism court on Sunday reportedly convicted a Taimoor Raza, a 30-year-old, for allegedly making derogatory remarks against Prophet Mohammad, his wives and companions on Facebook. The court also handed death penalty for Raza in the case. Notably, this was the first time someone has been handed the death penalty for blaspheming on social media.
