Opposition slams TN govt for lower manufacturing growth

Criticising the AIADMK government in Tamil Nadu for lower manufacturing growth in the state, opposition parties, DMK and PMK, reportedly said the State’s manufacturing growth was only 1.65% in 2016-17. DMK working president M K Stalin reportedly said Rs 15 crore must have been invested in Tamil Nadu by now as per vision 2023, but that hasn’t happened. “Even those who are ready to invest in Tamil Nadu are going back to nearby states,” he added. Slamming the drop, PMK leader Anbumani Ramadoss reportedly said, “... it all shows that it is time to say goodbye to the AIADMK government” and hold elections to have a government which will increase the economic growth rate of the state.
