According to RTI reports, 23 percent posts of teachers, from primary to secondary level, are lying vacant in 1,100 central schools situated in various parts of the country. The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) said that as on March 31, 9,749 posts are lying vacant in these schools. At present, there are 32,891 teachers, while 9,749 posts are lying vacant, which means 23 percent posts are vacant.
