A group of young men allegedly threatened and tried to barge into Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami’s residence in South Kolkata’s Katjunagar. An argument broke out between Shami’s driver and local youth after the driver nearly hit a motorbike which was few metres away from Shami’s residence on Saturday night. Both parties calmed down after Shami stepped in as a peacemaker. However, the youth later gathered friends and tried to barge into Shami’s house while also manhandling the gatekeeper. Later, Shami’s wife filed a FIR, and the accused were arrested.
