Ponnusamy, the founder and president of Tamil Nadu Milk Dealers Employees Welfare Association, reportedly wrote to Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami demanding the resignation of Dairy Minister, Rajendra Balaji. Notably, Bhalaji had earlier accused dairy producers of adulterating their products and proclaimed that he would resign or even hang himself if his accusation are proven wrong. However, the central food lab announced there was no toxic ingredients in the milk samples sent by the government.
