A Manipur trial court on Monday reportedly awarded five-year jail term to the current Chief Minister N Biren Singh's son, Ajay Meetai. According to reports, Ajay is accused killing a person on the outskirts of Imphal in a fit of rage in 2011. Notably, the verdict comes a day after the Supreme Court sought a response from the Centre on this case.
