According to reports, a man in Bijapur district in Karnataka on July 12 was paraded wearing a skirt, after he allegedly held the hand of the daughter of his cousin in an inebriated state. The man was garlanded with slippers, and shave off half his hair and moustache before being paraded all the way from his home to the village square, accompanied by the beating of drums. Police reportedly the cousin accused the man of trying to molest his daughter.
