US-based pop singer Katy Perry on Friday became the first ever person to hit 100 million followers on social media and microblogging site Twitter. After going past this milestone, she tweeted, "Thank you, @Twitter, for always giving me an opportunity to have a voice! #LoveKaty." The 32-year-old singer who joined Twitter in 2009 has tweeted more than 8,500 times.
