Karnataka govt spends Rs 20 lakhs to appease rain god

The Karnataka government is reportedly scheduled to conducted several pujas on the banks of Cauvery to appease the rain god. According to multiple reports, the state government is set to spend Rs 10 lakh each for performing pujas on the Krishna and Cauvery rivers. Notably, the pujas were conducted after the state government failed to break negotiation with the Centre for releasing drought relief funds.
