According to reports, the Prime Minister’s Office on Monday reportedly gave approval for defence programmes worth nearly Rs. 2 lakh crores. The approval is said to include the long awaited ‘Strategic Partnership’ policy. By this policy, the government can allow private players to manufacture high-end defence equipment.
