India wins World Cup opener against England

Indian women’s teams has won its match against England in the ICC Women's World Cup at Derby on Saturday. India scored 281 runs and set England a target of 282 to win the match, while England lost all the wickets in 47.3 overs scoring 247 runs. Notably, Indian opener Smriti Mandhana scored 90 runs off 72 balls and won the player of the match award.
