According to reports, unidentified assailants have fatally shot Gauri Lankesh, a senior journalist in Karnataka, at her home in Raja Rajeshwari Nagar on Tuesday evening. The murderers knocked her door and sent a bullet to her chest as soon as she opened the door. The assailants fled the scene, while Gauri, a critic of Hindutva politics, was killed on the spot, say reports. Notably, rationalist MM Kalburgi was also murdered in a similar way two years ago.
