Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh on Monday was convicted of the rape of two minors in 2002. Initially, he was sentenced for 10 years. Reportedly the special CBI judge Jagdeep Singh announced that Ram Rahim would be sentenced to jail for 20 years, 10 years for each case and fined Rs. 30 lakhs for the crime committed, 15 lakhs for each and out of which 14 lakhs will be given to the victims. Reportedly the court said that the convict did not even spare his disciples and ‘acted like a wild beast’, so he does not deserve any mercy.
