The first Triple Talaq case was filed in Meerut soon after the Supreme Court ban on it. According to reports, the man divorced his wife after persistent dowry demands and he allegedly threw her out of the house. The woman filed a complaint in the Meerut police station under section sections 498A and 323 of the IPC and sections of the Dowry Prohibition Act.
