According to reports, Maharashtra government is reportedly planning to relocate the Tigers from Vidarbha region to sanctuaries where tiger population is smaller. Speaking about the government's decision, Forest Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar said that the deaths of most Tigers happen due to territorial fights caused by overpopulation. Notably, a committee has reportedly been formed to examine the proposal.
