Just a day before it was to be inaugurated by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, a part of Gateshwar Panth Canal Project worth Rs 389.31 crore collapsed in Bihar. “The dam broke due to the release of water in full capacity,” said Lallan Singh, Minister of Water Resources. The inauguration of the dam has been cancelled. Waterlogging has been identified and water can be seen entering the city, say reports.
