According to reports, the Indian Railways is set to stop providing blankets in the AC compartments in trains, after the Comptroller and Auditor General pointed out the bad condition of the bedding. Further, the temperature in the AC compartments will reportedly be set at 24°C instead of the earlier 19°C, as a measure to save the finances allocated for maintenance.
