Gorakhpur hospital deaths: Govt admits oxygen cut, hospital chief suspended

In the Gorakhpur tragedy, where at least 63 children died in just five days since August 7, the chief of the Baba Raghav Das Medical College hospital has been suspended. The Uttar Pradesh government on Saturday reportedly admitted that the hospital was operating without any supply for two hours on Thursday. Raids were conducted against the firm which cut the supply of oxygen to the hospital because previous bills were not paid.
