Goa government bars tourists from cooking in the open

Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on Monday ordered a crackdown on cooking in the open by groups of tourists and termed the practice as "unhygienic". The call has been taken in a bid to deter littering of the State’s countryside and coastal areas which annually sees six million tourists every year. The tourism industry stakeholders reportedly said that such low-budget tourists don't bring in revenue to the state, rather ruin the countryside and tourist places.
