Uber on their 4th anniversary reportedly announced that their drivers would be availing free life insurance from September 1. They have mentioned that life insurance covers Rs. 5 lakhs in case of death and permanent disability, Rs.2 lakhs in case of hospitalization and Rs.50,000 to outpatients. According to media reports, India is the biggest market where Uber has given insurance to 4,50,000 drivers.
