Maharashtra government on Wednesday reinstated former encounter specialist Pradeep Sharma, who was dismissed in 2008 for alleged links to the underworld. According to reports, Sharma had killed 113 underworld gangsters in his career spanning 25 years. He had also been arrested in a fake encounter case in 2010 but was acquitted of all charges by a Mumbai court in July 2013.
