Assam government employees will face a 10% cut in their monthly salary if they do not take care of their parents and siblings with disabilities, according to a new bill passed by the Assam Assembly on Friday. The amount deducted from their salaries would be given to their parents and siblings for their upkeep, state minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said.
