In a shocking incident, a 65-year-old man from Oman has married a 15-year-old girl from Hyderabad according to media reports. The man had allegedly paid Rs 5 lakhs to the girl’s aunty for marrying her. The girl’s parents had logged a complaint in police station saying that they were not aware of the aunt’s plan. The girl was taken to Oman and she has been calling her parents asking them to bring her back to India. She has also told them that she would commit suicide if they don’t take immediate actions according to reports on News7. After this incident, several claims have surfaced alleging that poor families in Hyderabad are being targeted for such marriages.
