Manila Devak, a 29-year-old research scholar from the IIT-Delhi, allegedly committed suicide on Tuesday. Devak was in the final year of pursuing her PhD and has been residing at the Nalanda hostel at the campus. Another hostel resident went to visit Devak and found her body hanging from the ceiling fan in her hostel room. The reason for her suicide is yet to be ascertained. Her husband and in-laws in Bhopal were informed about the incident. The body has been sent for an autopsy to the AIIMS mortuary.
