ICC in plans to finalise Test, ODI leagues

According to a report by ESPNCricinfo, the ICC has worked out a viable schedule to accommodate a Test and ODI league between the members. The proposal, known as Option C, includes a rolling Test league to be introduced in 2019 and will see the top nine Test playing nations feature in 12 Test series over four years on a home-and-away basis. The proposal also includes an ODI league between the top 13 teams to be introduced from 2020, played over the next biennium. With this system, the member boards will retain autonomy regarding who they play, meaning which, an India-Pakistan series will not be a mandatory fixture.
