Govt orders ISPs to block child sexual abuse content

The government has directed Internet service providers (ISP) to block distribution and transmission of child sexual abuse content by July 31. "ISP's having cable landing station gateways and international long distance licenses in India shall be required to adopt and implement IWF resources on or before July 31, 2017, to prevent distribution and transmission of online CSAM into India," the Ministry of Electronics and IT said in an order dated April 18, 2017.
