Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi on Wednesday answered the Supreme Court that the issue of triple talaq should not be seen as discrimination between majority and minority communities. Attorney General stated that centre has also abolished Sati and Devadasi practices which were part of Hinduism. He also added that if triple talaq is not present in 25 Islamic countries, then it cannot be said it is essential to Islam.
