Even in 2017, caste dominance harms the lives of 500

In what can be seen as an incident of caste dominance, Kerosene was reportedly poured into a foul well in Madhya Pradesh’s Maada village. According to reports, the well which supplied water to over 500 Dalits, was polluted by the upper caste people of the village. Further, reports claim that this was due to the use of band party (a practice followed by the upper caste of the village) by a Dalit man Chandar Meghwal for his daughter’s wedding.
