The election commission on Wednesday revealed that it has decided not to allot AIADMK’s two leaves symbol (irattai Ilai) to both former TN CM O Panneerselvam and VK Sasikala’s factions for the upcoming RK Nagar by-polls in Chennai. Notably, this comes after the EC had earlier held a meeting regarding the allotment of the symbol. Further, it asserted that both parties were refrained from using the AIADMK party name in the RK Nagar by-election.
